This is an auction catalogue (Blogie 381) of the library of Paul Villeboeuf including books dating from the sixteenth century on, illustrated and original edition books from the Romantic and modern periods, and elaborate bindings primarily by Émile Mercier (1855-1910) and his son Georges. It includes numerous black-and-white illustrations. There are some price notations in pencil in the margins. Moderately worn and soiled. A bookplate on the inside of the front wrapper indicates that this copy came from the reference library and stock of H.P. Kraus.
