With alphabet samples ranging from 7 point to 72 point. A fine copy. The first few samples are accompanied by background information about the development of the font design. An alphabet border runs around the perimeter of the sheet. This typeface appeared for the first time on October 3, 1932 in the London Times. It was the first to be designed specifically for legibility. The font designer Stanley Morison (1889-1967) is also remembered for his analyses of the history of typography. Printed in red and black.
