A two volume catalogue of sixteenth-century books contained within the Biblioteca Trivulziana. Volume One treats the books printed in sixteenth-century Milan, and contains lists of reprinted editions, new acquisitions. The second volume is similarly organized, but groups its books alphabetically by city first, before grouping them alphabetically by author or printer. The plates in both volumes are black-and-white, with period traces of red, and they illustrate sample pages of text, frontispieces, and title pages with intricate designs and symbols. A chronological index, an index or printers and editors, and one of names and subjects cited in the titles and in the dedications also appears in each volume.
