Contains an astounding 121 wood engravings chosen by the artists and printed directly from the blocks onto individual leaves. Printed and published by Crispin and Jan Elstead at the Barbarian Press in British Columbia. Printed on Zerkall mould-made white wove and ivory laid paper. Includes a new press device by Barry Moser, a specially cut frontispiece by Rosemary Kilbourn, and a title page designed by Ted Staunton. With introductory essays on Canadian and American wood engraving by Patricia Ainslie and Paul Ritscher, bibliography, and brief biographies of the artists.
