Oak Knoll

A catalogue of an exhibition of books from the collection of Robert B. Honeyman, Jr. illustrating the development of geodetic knowledge, held in observance of the International Geophysical Year, 1957-1958. A near fine copy. With an introductory paper by Seymour Chapin. Included in the 23 items on exhibit are first editions of works by Galileo Galilei and Sir Isaac Newton. Addendum concerning the launching of Sputnick I, which occurred while the catalog was in press, and noting the addition of another item to the exhibit.
