Order Nr. 2476

One of 500 copies. A fine copy. A reprint of these three privately printed works by the famous printing historian, Ralph Green. The first work has chapters on George Clymer and his Columbian Press, John I. Wells and the Toggle Joint, Peter Smith and the Hoe Company, Samuel Rust and the Washington Press, and others with a list of 43 Iron Press makers. The history of the Platen Jobber discusses the development of the Liberty, the Universal, the Clamshell, and many other presses. The final work described different types of printing presses that the amateur printer can make out of wood and metal.
