Privately printed by the author in an edition of 200 numbered copies, signed by Sandra Lawrence on the colophon. Minor toning to the endsheets and spine, else a fine copy in near fine jacket.

Designed, written, and printed by Lawrence, this is a beautiful production showing the progression of the Roman inscriptional letters: Phoenician, Greek, Etruscan, earlier Roman letters are drawn on the verso, and a tipped-in diagram of the Roman Inscriptional is on the recto. The type face is fourteen point Aldine Bembo. General assistance was given by Lloyd Reynolds and the binding was supervised by Rudolph Ernst. A pleasure for anyone who enjoys fine press, typography, and calligraphy.
