From the bibliography: "The text is a fairy tale that I wrote. This was our first work to get national recognition by the larger book-arts community. It was included in the 1983 Breaking the Bindings show at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and led to us being known primarily as 'the couple that makes miniature books.' There is a reason we used two types of paper. The paper I was making still wasn't that good, it was still really hard to make any quantity of handmade paper, and I still had some of the Hayle paper left and didn't want to waste it."
