First English editions (Haring-Smith C79). Lacking the dust jackets. Only publisher's front illustrated endsheets for all four volumes are present; the rear endsheets are not present. Ownership inscription in ink on the front free endpaper of When We Were Very Young. Spines lightly faded, some very minor rubbing to the 4th compartment down of House at Pooh Corner, a small amature blue pencil drawing on the rear publisher's board of House at Pooh Corner. Some minor soiling to the boards of all four volumes. A beautiful set.
