Order Nr. 141652

Privately printed in an edition of 100 numbered copies. This copy has been rebound in a full leather artist's binding by M. Minter (binding ticket on rear pastedown dated 1984) while also housing the original suede leather decorative covers. A beautiful book, and an excellent specimen of the American Arts & Crafts movement.

Printed by Will H. Ransom. Title within hand colored border; hand colored initials, text in cursive type. Will H. Ransom, America's greatest authority on private presses and their output, was a distinguished artist and typographer. His books and articles were the standard reference on the subject and still are to this day.

"Of this, the first volume to issue from the Shop, I have printed an edition of one hundred copies ... "Signed R[an]som.
