The catalog collects, in alphabetical order by author, over 5700 entries relating to the editions printed between 1601 and 1699 in Italy as well as those produced abroad with a text totally or partially in Italian. The work accompanied by an introduction, which deals with the most important collections, and five indexes (titles; editors, translators and commentators; publishers and printers; places of printing; chronological index). The catalog presents, in alphabetical order according to author's names, 5718 books printed in Italy, or printed elsewhere either totally or partially in Italian, between 1601 and 1699. The introduction deals with the history and holdings of some of the more important collections. Five indices are included: titles; joint authors, editors, translators and commentators; printers and publishers; places of publication; chronological index.
