Consciously traditional in its interpretation of the art of the book, works issued by the Bremer Presse are imbued with simple elegance and reserve. Founded in 1911, the press closed in 1939 amid the political upheaval of the Nazi regime. Decorative initial letters by the noted calligrapher Anna Simons.
