Volume 10 of the Bibliographies of New England History combines the entries in Volume 10: Parts A, B, and C, which were published for subscribers in 1998, 2000, and 2002. (Volume 11: A, updating the series through 2003, will be published for subscribers in 2004. Subscription information is available at www.cneb.org.)

The entries in the three installments of Volume 10 have been reorganized under geographical headings and have been renumbered; a lengthy author-and-subject index has been added. The goal for Volume 10 has been to produce a comprehensive bibliography of writings on New England regional, state, and local history from 1994-- the cutoff date for Volume 9, the last previous supplement to the series--through 2001. We also have continued to update and correct entries from earlier volumes and to cite older titles that have come to the editor's attention.

For full listings on a particular state or locality, readers should consult the original state bibliography in the series, plus volumes 8 (1989), 9 (1995), and 10. For studies pertaining to New England as a region or to more than one New England state, see New England: A Bibliography of Its History (1989), together with volumes 9 and 10. The data in Volume 9 can also be searched on the Internet at http://nebib.uvm.edu, and at the time of this writing the University of Connecticut Libraries were preparing an electronic edition of the Connecticut volume for use on the internet.
