An index and checklist of maps and map separates contained in the Evans (1639-1800) and Shaw/Shoemaker (1801-1819) bibliographies, which formed the American Bibliography 1639-1819. It can be used as a bibliography for maps produced between 1639 and 1819, but it is not a descriptive or annotated guide. Entries are divided into those contained in the Evans Bibliography and those in the Shaw/Shoemaker Bibliography and are arranged according to their corresponding numbers in those bibliographies.
