Translations of 189 Chinese poems. Spine lightly faded. Slipcase lightly scuffed. Else a fine copy. Ten full-page color illustrations as well as many smaller drawings by Cyrus LeRoy Baldridge. Planned by Richard Ellis. "Composed in a special Monotype cutting of Frederic W. Goudy's Deepdene type made for this edition, with swash letters and revised characters designed by Ellis." The paper was modelled on old papers of Asia and produced by P.H. Glatfelter Company. Scratch and wrinkle on back and wear on extremities of slipcase. Front board scuffed, cloth slightly soiled at heel of spine and on front board.
