Order Nr. 69938

Limited to an edition of 36 signed and numbered copies of which this is one of 26 in the semi-deluxe edition. Arnon Grunberg, novelist, poet, playwright, and wunderkind of Dutch literature, won international fame for his debut novel written in 1993 when he was but twenty-two. Now living in New York, he has expanded his repertoire to include the creation of artist's books. This collection, created as home, garden and kitchen entertainment, was designed to encourage the consumption of wine, preferably white, in the company of like-minded people. It was created in the Indian summer of 1998 by Kunst Editions, New York. Each box contains approximately 300 coasters printed (in red, blue and black) with bilingual text and drawings by the author. The boxes were handcrafted by Bruce, Mark and Frank Ginsberg of C.W.C. in St. Louis, MO. The title label was handset in Barnum and Craw Modern and printed by the Literary Printers in Bronx, NY. The wine barrel drawing on the label was designed by the author and cast for printing by Iron Welders, NYC. The corks were provided by Grunberg's wine supplier in Napa Valley, CA. The cotton napkin was used by the author during dinner, however that is unfortunately lacking from this copy. Else fine condition.
