The primary purpose of this guide is to describe the nature and scope of collections held by the Division of Manuscripts, University of Oklahoma Library. In the twelve years of its existence, to 1960, the Division established 1,500 collections, varying from one piece of manuscript material to nearly a million, including a photographic section with more than 200,000 glass plate and acetate negatives depicting frontier military installations, Indians, outlaws, the land runs, early railroads, etc. Staining to front wrappers, soiling to spine and rear wrapper.
