A deluxe periodical for bibliophiles first published by A. Quantin in 1880, and later by Quantin with Octave Uzanne as editor-in-chief from 1881-1889. (Ulrich & Kup p, 124). Included here are 1880, 1882-1886 and 1888. Lavish use of llustration, including drawings, illustrations of books and bindings, and many original prints bound-in. Some plates reproduced in color. Each volume is composed of two parts: Ancient Bibliography and Modern Bibliography, with each section having their own dedicated page count. Frequent use of pictorial initials.
