Printed in an edition limited to 375 numbered copies set in Van Dijck type and printed at Whittington on Zerkall Rosa paper. A beautiful collection of 36 wood-cut engravings from John O'Conner's sixth decade of engraving. The engravings in this volume have been appearing in the magazine "Oldie" since 1992. They accompanied the regular and entertaining columns by Germaine Greer, who wrote of her personal battle with wild and domestic nature in a tooth-and-claw relationship. The engravings portray the English landscape, buildings and people. His sympathy with the English countryside and his knowledge of its architecture are evocatively demonstrated.
