A catalogue raisonné. John Stuart Mill kept a notebook, listing all of his works published from 1822 to 1873. This notebook was found in a mixed group of manuscripts bought at auction in 1935, and here edited and annotated for publication. The editors have supplied bibliographical information not noted by Mill, followed by a helpful précis of the work listed. Since much of the material Mill put in his notebook was not signed, or was written under a pseudonym, this bibliography is able to attribute to him many items of previously unknown origin.
