First edition. This copy is signed by the author on the title page. The crown of the spine is a web of creases with color loss. The heel is in similar shape. There's a jagged, 1/2-inch tear in the top edge of the back panel. Both flaps show corner creases and the back flap is also creased from top to bottom. The first Claire Malloy mystery. When Claire reluctantly lets her late husband's former colleague's wife host a book signing in her shop, havoc strikes when the book proves libelous to various members of the signing party and the author is mysteriously strangled.
