First edition. First volumes has some splitting along the head of the spine and the front hinge and some wear along the tail of the spine. Both volumes have shelf-wear and wear to hinges. Else very good condition. This two-volume set is a collection of essays of Saldías published during his lifetime. A very scarce set, even more so in the first edition.
Adolfo Saldías was a statesman, lawyer, and soldier from Argentina, eventually becoming popular in the Autonomist Party of Buenos Aires. He took part in the Revolution of the Park, which after being arrested was exiled to Uraguay. From the private reference library of Dorothy Sloan with a commemorative bookplate loosely inserted.
