Printed on an 1847 Washington handpress by Richard-Gabriel Rummonds at Ex Ophidia in Cottondale, Alabama. The text is set in monotype Van Dijck. Golda Laurens lettered the title. The paper is Mohawk Superfine. The intaglio prints, signed by the artist, were pulled by Maurice Paynce in New York. The portraits were printed by Village Craftsmen, Rosemont, New Jersey. Text copyright 1983 by John Hollander. Illustrations copyright 1983 by Saul Steinberg. A beautifully produced book; scarce in commerce.
