Facsimile edition of the text and map published in Madrid by the Cano press in 1800. Foreword, study and notes by W. Michael Mathes. The Planisphere of Juan Antonio Gonzñalez Cañaveras and the brochure of the same title are extremely rare. Only two copies of the plan are known, one located in the Regional Museum of the Ex-convent of Guadalupe (Zacatecas, Mexico) and the other in The John Carte Brown Library (Rhode Island) collection. Three copies of the instructional text are known in different collections: California State Library (Sutro Branch, San Francisco), The British Library (London), and National Library (Madrid).
