Contents: Foreword, Preface, The Argonauts, Ships, Pioneers from other States, The Companies, Pioneers residing in various locations, Pioneer Associations Some 27,000 names of people who came to California during the Gold Rush are listed in Haskins' 'Argonauts of California' according to the immigration or mining parties they comprised, the ships they sailed in, or the Pioneer Societies they later joined. In this volume all of these names have been put in one alphabetical index, which also indicates the page on which the name appears and the data concerning the person's arrival or affiliation.
