Burden, iron ore conglomerate Samuel Mather, inventor King C. Gillette, mercantilist Lewis Rodman Wanamaker, industrial Isabel Weld Perkins Anderson, mercantilist W. Atlee Burpee, Jr., automotive tycoon Walter Chrysler, industrialist J. Ogden Armour, industrialist Henry Harkness Flagler, newspaper tycoon Whitelaw Reid, chemical tycoons Pierre S. and Alfred Irénée du Pont, railroad tycoon Jay Gould, financier Lucy Wharton Drexel, railroad tycoon George Washington Vanderbilt, railroad tycoon John D. Rockefeller, and photographer George Eastman.

These pieces were from the private collection of bookplate collector, author and historian James M. Goode, whom was recently the recipient of the 2017 District of Columbia Award for Excellence in Historical Preservation for Lifetime Achievement. The auction of his bookplate collection sold by Heritage Auctions in 2015 (source record number 6148-45488). Each of the twenty bookplates are professionally matted in five frames.
