An edition of twenty poems, called The Norfolk Poems, written by the American poet Hayden Carruth between June and September 1961. Some are characteristic of the author's work, exploring the everyday activities and occurrences of life, while others are centered on how those routines are inflected by events of global importance, like the closing of the Brandenburg Gate and the controversial figure of Adolf Eichmann, the former SS officer then on trial in Israel for orchestrating the details of the Final Solution. Color appears on only two pages in the volume - the title page is printed in black and brick red, while the colophon displays the pastoral symbol of the Prairie Press in green. Moisture damage to front board. Lacking the dust jacket.
