This work appears to have been published prior to an auction of the Ives collection on March 5, 1891 (McKay 3929), the catalogue for which was also published by De Vinne and reported in The Publisher's Weekly XXXIX, 371. Ives (1840-1914) was a railroad executive and president of the New York Stock Exchange. Covers chipped and torn at edges, also tanned and soiled. Top part of spine missing.
