This library is the oldest public library still intact, being founded in Heidelberg in 1421 and moved to the Vatican for safe keeping in 1623. This exhibition catalogue was issued in conjunction with the 600th anniversary of Heidelberg. The books were brought from the Vatican library to Heidelberg for the exhibition. The second volume contains nothing but plates in color. With copies of various reviews loosel inserted in back.
