Order Nr. 12604

Complete set of this important sale catalogue. Some shelf wear to all the volumes. Part Three lacking the dust jacket and is damaged along the spine. All jackets chipped with some minor loss. A very good set. The illustrations are excellent with one Blake drawing in full color. Newton's comments from his many books have been interlaced with the book descriptions in the catalogue. The first volume is a prospectus with comments by Rosenbach, Morley and a biography. Part One has two dust jackets, one being a replacement for the thinner version which is on the first volume which caused customer complaints. With a printed card referring to this jacket loosely inserted. Loosely inserted in each volume is a photocopy of the special supplement issued by American Bookfinder giving the prices realized for the books. Jacket of volume two torn with a piece missing. From the Thomas M. Whitehead Collection of Books About Books.
