Order Nr. 121187

Initially conceived as an update to the author's A Guide to Collecting Everyman's Library (2005), this survey goes well beyond the scope of that previous book to present a comprehensive printing history of the Everyman's Library from its inception in 1906 until 1982, the last year when serial numbers appeared externally on the dust jackets.

Entries are sorted by author and include serial number and title data, a listing of printings and editions, information on wrapper art, relevant notes including comments on scarcity, and a list of special editions when applicable. These entries are supplemented by an index of translators, editors, and introduction writers as well as an index of illustrators and designers. With eight pages of color illustrations.
