L'llustration was a French weekly periodical which commenced publication in 1843 and ceased in 1944 when its editor was accused of collaboration with the German occupiers during World War II. This is a collection of 10 of the very special Christmas issues published in 1925, 1930-2, 1934, and 1936-40. Each issue with color and black and white illustrations, many tipped-in illustrations of paintings. Each issue in includes table of contents. Wrappers chipped and torn at edges on most. Some with wrappers separating from text.
