D'Avigdor (1841-1895) wrote a number of hunting novels under the pseudonym of "The Wander." He was educated as an engineer and supervised many construction projects in the Middle East. D'Avigdor was an avid sportsman who wrote articles for Vanity Fair which led to the publishing of two periodicals, the Examiner and the Yachting Gazette. Filled with full color plates. Leather spine labels lacking. Front hinge cracked.
