Four days after the death of American banker, financier, and art and book collector J. P. Morgan (1837-1913), the Chamber of Commerce of the State of New York met to memorialize him. A gathering of "five hundred of the foremost business men of the city, the state and the nation" listened to the remarks reproduced in this booklet. The speakers included Elihu Root, Joseph H. Choate, Robert W. DeForest, Seth Low, and Frank A. Vanderlip. The booklet includes a black-and-white image of Morgan. The wrappers and edges show minor soiling and wear.
