Five sections bound together. From the annual periodical, Osiris. The first section is a bibliography of incunabula related to science and medicine, with a preface by Arnold C. Klebs. The second section is an essay entitled "Science, Technology and Society in Seventeenth Century England", with a preface and introduction by the author, R.K. Merton. Listed alphabetically in the first work, with the second section containing illustrations and discussions. The third volume, written in French, is an autobiography of Paul Tannery, a French historian and mathematician. Following this is a short essay by Pierre Boutroux, also in French, entitled "L'oeuvre de Paul Tannery", and another short essay by P. Ducassé, entitled "La vie et l'oeuvre de Madame Paul Tannery". Also contains an alphabetical list of memoirs from Volumes I through IV of the Osiris, and the original paper wrappers bound in at the end.
