Guide and reference book for collectors of prints. Includes a list of artists with biographical information, a bibliography, and 105 black-and-white illustrations, among other aids. Original cloth cover of this copy is moderately soiled and shows minor wear including a three-eighths-inch split along the joint between the front and spine. A plate attached to the front pastedown indicates that this copy came from the reference library and stock of H. P. Kraus. A tiny number label is attached to the upper fore-edge corner of the front free endpaper. Splits at the hinge are evident in three locations, but the leaves are still attached to the binding throughout. Otherwise the interior shows minor wear and soiling.

Includes lists of knights of the order who held official positions. Illustrated with black-and-white portraits. Inscribed on front blank recto by George Sarton to his uncle Arthur, dated Bruxelles 1919. Also with Sarton's Ex Libris. From the reference library of H.P. Kraus. Binding is mostly dismantled, in several pieces, cover chipped with small stain.
