The text is an excerpt from William Blades's treatise on the dangers to books, which include fire and water, gas and heat, dust and neglect, ignorance and the bookworm. This section discusses the missteps of collectors. The irony that this collector's item details the possible threats posed by book collectors in particular did not escape the notice of Thürkôw. As for the typeface, this is the first time the Trinité Medium Condensed 2 has been used in a book. Bound by Luce Thürkôw. Chatper titles and initial letters printed in red. Printed in an edition limited to 400 copies (Bradbury, MBS, 1). Printed at the Tabula Rasa Press. Edited with a Preface by Francis J. Weber. Louis Bondy was born in Berlin and trained first as an architect and then as a journalist before settling in London. After World War Two, he turned to the book trade. He operated a bookshop and became internationally known for his expertise on miniature books. Wrote articles and also what is considered the "'bible' of miniature bookdom." Bondy considers miniature books "tangible manifestations of the infinite variety of human skills, sharpened and refined by the exigencies of their format." This diminutive book records a speech delivered to the Grand Conclave III in 1985. Signed by the author on verso of half title and by Francis Weber on the colophon page.
