Paris Éditions des Cendres (2005) 8vo. stiff paper wrappers 47+(1) pages
Text in French. Limited to an edition of 399. An essay detailing the events of the biblio hoax perpetrated by antiquarian Renier Hubert Ghislain Chalon. On August 10, bibliophiles from around the world descended on Binche, Belgium, lured by the "Catalogue Fortsas," which listed 62 utterly unique books up for auction from Comte de Fortsas' library. When they arrived, they found that neither the books nor the comte existed, but the whole thing had been an elaborate charade enacted simply because Chalon like to play jokes. Text includes an illustration and information about the "Catalogue Fortsas."
