Stevenson, as a child of six, dedicated this 'Story of the History of Moses,' to his mother. Newton purchased this manuscript in an Anderson sale of November 24, 1914, lot 294. This booklet is the first appearance in print of this early piece. Colored frontispiece. Inscribed "Mr. H.N. Bartlet with the compliments of A. Edward Newton, Feb. , 1920."
