About
This historic living town was established in 1651 and is the original capital of Delaware. Several walking tours of the town are available that will take you from Battery Park down our cobblestone street by Market Square and into several of the lovingly kept up old homes. Every third Saturday in May, "A Day in Old New Castle" allows the public to visit many of the homes that aren't usually on the tours. Several outdoor markets happen throughout the year and there are many speciality stores in the area. Several restaurants have opened up shop in Old New Castle in the past year, so there is something new for those of you that have visited our little Delware haven before.
