The introduction to the second edition is included and concludes with "In conclusion, a hope is expressed that this 'Manual of Photographic Chemistry' may be found to be a complete and trustworthy guide on every point connected with the theory and practice of the Collodion process." With the bookplate and pencil signature of Gavin Bridson. Interior and exterior hinges are cracked, light foxing throughout, edges of covers are worn with bumped corners. Back cover detached.
