Reprint of the 1875 auction catalogue issued by Bangs, Merwin & Co. of New York (McKay 1985) listing over 2600 items for sale from Field's library. The catalogue was compiled by Joseph Sabin based on Field's "Essay on Indian Bibliography" and included many useful annotations. At the time, it was the most extensive collection of items related to North American Indians ever offered for sale.
