Nicely illustrated biography of Dickens with beautiful full-color illustrations in addition to some lovely black-and-white sketches. His life and literature are discussed from his birth in 1812 to modern critique of his works. Light foxing on some pages, dust jacket has curled slightly at edges, very light wear to edges of book.

An Improved Stereotyping Process. Dating from the 1890s they reflect the rapid mechanization of all aspects of the printer's art. All have the stamp of the Patent Library Nottingham. The pages are slightly tanning and have very slight edgewear, being protected in a plastic sleeve.
