Limited to 300 numbered copies signed by Mackley. Designed and printed by Will and Sebastian Carter at the Rampant Lions Press. With woodcuts in orange throughout text. The 68 plates are printed on fine paper and are described in a table of contents page placed at the beginning. Mackley was a highly regarded wood-engraver of the 1930's through the 1960's and was particularly known for his works on boats, architecture, and plants. In addition to illustrating books, he also wrote on wood-engraving.
