Presswork done by well-known printer Lawton Kennedy, and the work completed in the shop of Johnck & Seeger in San Francisco. Bacon's famous brief essay on study and learning, with his famous quotation: "Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested. . . ." Minor abrasion to front board.
