He presents a portfolio of thirty-seven full-page lithographs, with technical notes about each print, to illustrate his points. The section on printing from the stone is written by Lawrence Barrett; this section, illustrated with fifty-five drawings, includes the printing of stone from start to finish, etching and printing techniques, faults and remedies, and tools and equipnment.
