The set remains the standard and indispensable work for information about the life and works of mathematicians, astronomers, physicists, chemists, mineralogists, geologists and other scientists of all nations. For each scientist, Poggendorff provides a brief bibliography of his writings, including periodical articles. This reprint covers the period 1858 to 1904. Over 140,000 references.
