Limited to an edition of 170 (Johnson, 18). Third in the series of "Shakespearean reprints" published by Elston Press. The collection of stories about Prince Apollonius influenced Shakespeare's 'Pericles, Prince of Tyre.' Originally imprinted in London by Valentine Simmes for the Widow Newman. Printed in red and black on English handmade paper watermarked with the Elston Press "cat". Possible variant binding. Description given in Johnson states text is "bound in full dark green cloth, stamped in gold on spine." Bookplate on front paste-down. Well preserved copy.
