QUADS FOR AUTHORS, EDITORS & DEVILS.
by Tuer, Andrew W.

A collection of printers' jokes. Printed for the publisher by the Leadenhalle Presse. Quads, the little metal blanks used to fill in gaps, were otherwise 'of not much account.' Contained in a pocket at the back of this book is a miniature edition of the same, 1 5/8 by 1 1/16 inches. Parent book with engraved frontispiece, title page, and line engravings in the text. Glossary at end of text. Boards soiled and scuffed at edges. Front hinge of parent book cracked. With the bookplate of the noted miniature book collector, Kathryn Rickard on front pastedowns of both books and a hand written note by her loosely inserted.
