Author (1908-2003) held the post of consultant in poetry at the Library of Congress, a title changed in 1986 to Poet Laureate. Designed by Bernard Taylor of The Press of Appletree Alley. Hand bound by Dan Rash. Includes an engraving by Michael McCurdy and illustrations by Taylor. Loosely inserted is a T.L.s. from Barney Taylor transferring three of the five copies of this book to Michael McCurdy in payment for his wood engraving.
